Lacrosse Coach, Alex Previte
Alex Previte, the Local Development Officer for the 2013/14 season at the Welwyn Lacrosse Club, is working with us during our Autumn training programme. Here’s his bio:
Born and raised in Ohio, United States of America, also known as the Buckeye State. I started playing lacrosse when I was 10 years young, and have not been without a lacrosse stick since. I love the game, and my passion is to spread the wealth of lacrosse wherever and whenever I can.
As a player I was a 4 year varsity starter in high school as well as when I player at Wittenberg University, my alma mater. My accolades in lacrosse include but are not limited to multiple first team all conference player awards as well as NCAC player of the year, and NCAC rookie of the year. I have been coaching for the past 4 going on 5 years, and specialize in building the fundamental skill sets necessary to learn and play the sport.
I have also been involved in coaching at a higher, more competitive level, where high school juniors and seniors are competing for collegiate scholarship opportunities at the Division I, II, and III levels.
Through training these players I have coached and helped players get recruited to some of the top lacrosse programs in the United States .
