Losing box lacrosse virginity
Last night, Milton Keynes players Nathan Villiers, Jonny Prince, Ben Amos and Aaron Day all lost their box lacrosse virginity as we travelled up to the Midlands Arena in Lutterworth to play indoors for the first time. The session was organised by club coach Rob Gooch, with an open invite for anyone wanting to play indoors, either for the first time, or for those who just love it.
Some traffic issues meant a few players were unable to make it but we had enough players to run through the box lacrosse basics, then play a series of short, sharp games. We were delighted to welcome England indoor international players, goalie Eliot Pugh and attacker Jon Arthur, plus Welsh field lacrosse international Rhodri Stanford. Their skills and knowledge of the indoor game was invaluable.
We apologise for not having any photos or video from the session, we were just having too much fun. Everyone agreed we’ll do it again in 2016 (date now confirmed for Sunday 24th January 2016).
