National Lacrosse Day 2016, 17th September
The second annual “National Lacrosse Day” is on Saturday 17th September 2016. Clubs are encouraged to put on an event to showcase lacrosse, hopefully attract new players to the sport, but above all, have some fun in the process. Absolute beginners are very welcome to attend. We’ll have the club kit bag available so that new players can borrow stuff and get involved.
We are going to run a fun day, more accurately a fun afternoon, from 1pm on the astroturf at Stantonbury campus astro.
Players from the Oxford City women’s team and the Hitchin men’s are coming across to provide the opposition. We also hope some players from the Buckingham club will join us.
The finish the day we’ll all be playing a final mixed (men & women) game in FANCY DRESS! So bring your best outfit so we have a collection of superheros, cartoon and movies characters all playing lacrosse.
What to bring;
- Lacrosse kit inc. mouth guard
- Drinks (soft or booze)
- Camping chair (or sit on the ground)
- Fancy dress!
The day should wrap up between 4-5pm.
