League: Croydon A 3 – 9 Milton Keynes

MK’s unbeaten league season continued with a trip to Bromley to play Croydon’s 2nd team.

Whilst the weather was horrible, cold and wet, Croydon play on a lovely 3G all-weather field so the footing was sure. If this was played on grass it would of probably been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

MK travelled without their strongest squad but had enough in the tank to beat Croydon. Nathan was solid in goal, albeit cold for most of the game. Dougie played his first game as a defensive long pole and was great, including scoring a coast-to-coast goal (running the full length of the pitch, past every Croydon play to score!). Andy was our main midfield threat, both physically and with his lacrosse skills. Jack now has edged in front of Carl-Peter as MK’s top scorer with another 4 goal game.

On the downside, both Brett (hand) and Simon (arm) picked up impact injuries but both should be back on the field next week when we face unbeaten Chichester.
