SEMLA League: Milton Keynes 3 – 13 Buckhurst Hill
MK lost to a much better team today in Buckhurst Hill. The visitors from darkest Essex have quality and experience and they quickly jumped to a 5-1 lead by just passing the ball around (and through) the MK defence.
It was a makeshift MK back line today with Brett Satchell volunteering to play in goal (and a well deserved man-of-the-match) and only Ben Nightingale as a regular D man. The MK group are quick learners though and from the 2nd quarter plugged the big holes and started making Buckhurst Hill work had for their goals.
The challenge for MK, and it’s the story of the season so far, is scoring goals.
We play them again next week, down at their place. If we can find a route to goal we can make this a much closer game.
